I have a dashboard with a few tables with numeric values. I feel like the data types are set correctly. I changed and verified them in the query. When I view the columns in the model view, the columns show the Σ symbol which should indicate that they can be aggregated/summarized. I also have all of these columns set to "Sum" in the Summarization window:
However when I look at the same columns in report/data views they do not have the Σ and, for example, cannot be added as values to a matrix. However they still act like values in measures.
I have over a dozen of these columns so I really don't want to make measures duplicating each one. I do have some relationships set up in a star schema but I don't think that is the issue. What is keeping these columns from summarizing?

I think my file was corrupted. I rebuilt everything in a new file and all the numeric values are summarizing.

Hi @Anonymous
The model looks fine. It's very unusual. Are you able to share the PBIX or is it confidential?
I'm happy to sign an NDA prior to accessing if necessary.

I can't share. I may copy the fact table alone to another file to see if it's a model issue.
Hi @Anonymous
Can you please provide a screenshot of your entire Data Model view? If you can please extend each table so that all fields are visible, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
