4 years agoColumn type in dataflow not kept in desktop
Am I missing something here? I set the data type on a bunch of columns in a dataflow (in Premium Per User). When I import into Power BI desktop in order to create the reports the data types are wrong...

In my opinion, this is by design.
You can refer to the official article that data type for Currency is Decimal,When Power BI Desktop connect to datafow ,Data type is according toDataflow data type. So it show you the different result from Dataflow.
The following is my test:
And if you want to show Currency value ,you could click here.But it only show the "$" in the value,not show in the column name.
And in Power Query by user Power BI desktop,it also different from edit the dataflow.(not have Currency in data type)
