Column to add in Gantt Chart

Hi All,

Is there a way to add an additional column or field to Power BI Gantt Chart visual 3.0.12.0 when both Parent and Task fields are already in use? I have assigned Task to the Parent field and Milestone to the Task field for better visibility of milestone names. Now, I want to display Milestone Status as a column in the chart. Is this possible, or is there any workaround?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi @RKK  - In gantt chart visual 3.0.12.0, when both Parent and Task fields are used, adding an additional column (like Milestone Status) is not straightforward. You can add the Milestone Status as a tooltip so that when users hover over a milestone, they see its status.

Go to the Format Pane (click on the chart, then "Format").
Find the "Bar Formatting" or "Data Colors" section.
Set conditional formatting based on Milestone Status.
Pros:

Easily visible on the chart.
No need to hover for details.
Cons:

Requires distinct milestone categories.
Colors might not be intuitive for all users.
