Column name changes and data missing
Hi All, Currently running into a problem where my dataset is returning incorrect names and removing columns on close and apply. for example: in power query I have a column called "Name", this is ...
- Check if the column renaming is supported by your source. Some data sources may not allow renaming of columns at the Power BI level
- If you have added or renamed columns in Power Query, after applying the changes, refresh the dataset in the report view to ensure that the new structure is picked up.
- Clear the data cache in Power BI Desktop

Hi Kedar,
Thanks for the response,
Have removed all steps in Power Query after the navigation as a test and for some reason it still renames the columns, even when there is no step telling it to do so.
Also have cleared the data cache and still no luck,
Any other ideas?
