The grids in my initial posts are just made up data to illustrate the point.

 

Adding ClassID to the Rows well doesn't quite work - my grid is configured to use stepped layout which works well with the drill down but means that not all the columns in the Rows well are shown at all times.

 

I want the extra column (ClassID in your example, ClientCode in my example) to be visible in all cases, irrespective of the drill down.

 

Is this possible in the matrix?

Hi Mike,

 

I'm afraid that isn't how Matrix visual works. I would suggest you create an idea here.

        No.

        I've been able to workaround it by creating a calculated pivot table based on the data I want to show in the matrix (so that the pivot happens in the new table rather than the matrix).
        Then it's possible to add further columns to the table.

        It's not an ideal solution but is the best I could find.
