Column and drill down to months

I have a column called month and I have two other columns called "YTD" and "Plan" respectively. What i want to achieve is to have A column YTD then 12 columns that would show YTD for each month next I want to have "Plan" and 12 columns that would show plan for each month.

What is the best approach to achieve it, Ideally would be to have some expand/collapse option in column headers but as far as I know that is not possible.

All in all how can I achieve that?

Is it something along the lines of this you're looking for?

(All months in a PowerBI matrix ofc)

tex628  No I do not want to have all columns grouped by months I want to have YTD next to this I want to have 12 columns that would show all of the values throughout the 12 months. Next I want to have column Plan and again next to this column I want to have values for all 12 months for "Plan"

Just to give you a quick outlook i want to have the following layout - it is just a rough paint sketch:

And to make myself clear I want to have it on my dashboard not in my data view only

How could you achieve this please? I have a similar table in excel (without YTD column) and trying to present it in BI.

        Hi Anonymous ,

The above example would be accomplished with a matrix visual where you use the month as the column dimension and Actual/Plan measurements as values.

It's difficult to propose a more detailed solution without seeing a sample of format of the data you're using.

    Hi Anonymous ,

    Please follow steps below:

    1. Table format

    2. Remove Plan Column

    3. Perform pivot option

    4. Thats it. Create duplicate of this table and perform same operation on plan column.
