How to enable Columnd tools when I go to the data panel? it is not visible...
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hey @toplisek ,
If the "Column Tools" tab is not visible in Power BI's data pane, you can try the following steps to enable it:
Ensure You're in the Right View:
First, make sure you are in the Data view and not in the Report or Model view. Column Tools are available only in the Data view.
Select a Column:
Click on a column in the Fields pane in the Data view. If no column is selected, the "Column Tools" tab will not appear.
Check if the Tab Is Hidden:
The Column Tools tab might be hidden in the ribbon. If you're using a customized ribbon, ensure that the "Column Tools" is not accidentally hidden. You can reset the ribbon by going to File > Options and settings > Options > Customize Ribbon and ensure "Column Tools" is selected.
Update Power BI Desktop:
If you're using an older version of Power BI Desktop, updating to the latest version might resolve the issue.
Check for Permissions:
If you are working within a workspace or shared report, ensure you have the necessary permissions to modify the data model.
