I need to have a column selector which allows the end user to select the attribute by which a measure needs to be distributed.
E.g Revenue by Country, Revenue by Profession, Revenue by Gender. The selection of whether it should be a Country, a Profession or a Gender should be enabled by that column selector. Is there any way to implement it in Power BI ?
No. It's not possible to dynamically select fields to slice measure for end users. This can be done on dataset level only, which means you can dynamically select columns during your report design. It can't be achieved in either report or dashboard.
