Hi All,
I have taken table as a visualization in my Power Bi Desktop file. In this table I required total for all value fields , for this I have selected all value columns type as Sum but in this few column name heading getting prefix as Sum Of column names .But I required the all value filed names without Sum of prefix . How we will achieve this total without prefix as sum of column names in headings

Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Narenda,
The 'Sum of' will occur when you apply an aggregation which is different to the field/column's 'Default Summarization'.
What you need to do is go to the Modelling tab, select the column in question, then change the 'Default Summarisation' to 'Sum'. Now go back to the report design and re-create the table from scratch. The 'Sum of' will no longer appear.

Dan
Hi,
My column names doesn't have any prefix as Sum of but when i add this columns in a table grid then it is showing a Sum of Column Name.
Hmm, any chance you can upload a screen shot, I am not seeing that behavior in the default Table visualation with either Measures or Columns so apparently I am not simulating this correctly in my environment.

This worked for me...
File | Options and Settings | Options | Current File | Report settings | Default summarizations | UNCHECK "For aggregated fields, always show the default summarization type"
This is the answer!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
YES! This worked, Thank you
It's a solution!!!
Thank You.
Hi djnww,
Thanks you so much. Now my issue is resloved.
OK, for the life of me, I can't reproduce this, can you send a screen shot of the visual configuration box, the graph icon, not the paintbrush, I just need to see what is listed where in terms of Rows, Columns and Values. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.
Hi,
PFB screen shot
@Narendra If I understand what you are trying to do is sum those columns but not say Sum of in the name?
go to the Modeling tab and create a New Measure with whatever name you choose
Total Asset Count = SUM(TableName[Asset Count])
and then use this Measure in your table
let me know if this is what you are trying to do?
Hi Sean,
May i know why few fileds are not containts any prefix sum of and few fields are contains prefix as sum of. If i have to do like that then i have to create so many measures in my pbix file. In above screen shot few columns does not have prefix sum of but few columns prefix sum of.
Not sure I understand, but you should just be able to right click the headings and rename them.
