Column Headings and ODBC

Hi!

I need to change column headers to datasets housed in IBM I Power 7. We are accessing the data with an ODBC connection and refresh it daily. My question is: If I change the column headings in Power BI, will I have issues refreshing the data?

@LauraU - No you should not. Things like that are saved as steps in Power Query or within the DAX model itself depending on how/where you do it. Should not cause any problems.

Hi @LauraU ,

Based on my test, it won't affect the refresh. Consider you did an extra rename step in Power Query, and it won't affect the source.

Hi! Does it make a difference if I change the column names in the Data section or in the Editor Query?

Hi @LauraU ,

Rename columns in Query Editor won't affect the refresh too.
