Column Chart phantom bar & data label issue
- 1 year ago
Hi v-menakakota
Thank you for your input.I thought I'd post the answer, which I just found yesterday.
The setting under Data Labels > Options > Label Density was set to 50%. Adjusting it to 100% forces all the labels to show (where the column height is appropriate).
Hi v-menakakota
Thank you for coming back to me with these suggestions. Playing around with a new chart I discovered a couple of thing. The invoice day of month field is stored as a number.
Trying to filter where the value is greater than zero and is not blank doesn't work
Changing the type from continuous to categorical forces the phantom bar to show as a blank, and fltering is not blank works
Interestingly, when the axis is correctly set to continuous again, forcing the axis to start at 1 works. This seems a bit buggy, right?
Finally, did you happen to have any suggestion on how to get all the data labels to show - other than widening the visual (as this isn't an option being a tooltip page visual and would be too large).
Thanks again
Oli
Hi music43 ,
Reduce the font size in the Data Labels settings to fit more labels without needing to widen the visual.
Position the labels inside the bars rather than outside or at the end to make better use of the available space. Once try to change these.
Thank you and Regards,
Menaka Kota.
