I have a data modeling/vizualization problem which has stumped me. Currently my report has a single table that includes 4 separate categories. A series of bridge tables allows me to connect to the fact table. Because the categories are in a single table I can create a slicer that allows users to chose one of the 4 categories.
My goals is to implement this same functionality using a star schema. This simplifies the data model, however I do not know how to construct a slicer with the same functionality. In other words, I want to collapse the 4 separate categories which are now correctly stored in a star schema into a single slicer.
Can anyone help me with a solution?
thanks,
- B

Hi @BryonScruggs - If you create the Star Schema this way, you can use Field Parameters to create a single Slicer.
