Clustered Column Chart Date Issue

Hi,

I've created a clustered column chart which uses the date as a range for the X-Axis, but I am experiencing an issue with it not displaying correctly.

The date is pulled in from an sql query in the date format, yet PowerBI is converting this to datetime format, I've then used the transform option to change it back to date only which then shows correctly in the tables, I've also tried using the format under modelling to set as dd/MM/yyyy, but in the chart the date format is still incorrect and shows dates like 10 Sep 00:00, 10 Sep 12:00, 11 Sep 00:00 instead of 10 Sep 2018, 11 Sep 2018, etc, etc.

I have used relative date filtering and set this to be in the last 7 days, which is what is required and have noticed if I set the date range to be anything within the last 8 days or less then I get the issue with the dates, but setting to 9 days or more shows just the 10 Sep, 11 Sep, etc, etc.

Is there an easy way to resolve this, or would it be advisable to log as a bug

thanks in advance

@mmorley,

You may set X-Axis > Type to Categorical in the Format section of the Visualizations pane.
