Clone the look and feel of other report while renaming the pbix file to zip

Hi

Anyone has tried to rename pbix file to zip and extract it then mess about with the unzip file? I can see a lot of folder and files when unzip this and I just wonder if I got the look & feel of the report I like  how can I clone the look & feel for my report without redoing everything?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

Depending on exactly what you want to do there are at least a couple of options:

1) You save your existing model as a "PBIT" file, which is the existing file without any of the data in it.

2) You look into creating a Power BI 'theme'. See here for more info: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-report-themes

Hope that helps,

Alex

Hi
I already have a report that has very boring look and feel
Now I’ve found an empty report that has no data in it but got the look and feel that I want

So instead of copy and paste the background and pictures from that report I want to apply that look and feel to my existing report that has data model in.

How can I do that please?

Hi @Anonymous,

Unfortunately, it is not yet supported to copy report definition between different .obix files.

Here is a similar idea, you could click to vote it up.

Allow copy and paste between different PBIX's
