Greetings Community,
I am just getting started and after searching around hadn't found anything regarding what I'm looking to do.
I have a source with a lot of data for clients. Each line in the source contains all data for each client.
Page 1: A list of clients with the ability to click on the client to drill down to page 2.
Page 2: A one page look at that client's data - for or five data points in visual form
Any help or a point in the right direction is appreciated very much!
Hi @jglasgow
At the moment this is possible using URL Parameters. Please take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXObcA9G9Vw
Really soon it will be available within Power BI Desktop as well.. probably around july 2017 as a preview feature.
Thank you for pointing me to the video - it was helpful, but not a complete solution. When will this new feature be available in Power BI? I will look forward to that. I'd also be happy to beta test if needed.
Thanks!
@jglasgow,
Based on this idea, engineer is working on the feature you describe. Please keep an eye on Power BI Desktop update, once the feature is available, it will be recorded in the official article.
Regards,
Lydia
Hello Lydia,
I see that there was an updated released on 7/6. Is this feature included? - if so, what is it named? Any information is appreciated.
Thank you for your help.
Jake
@jglasgow,
The feature is not included in July release of Power BI Desktop.
Regards,
Hello - thank you for the response. Do you know if this feature will be included in the August release?
