Dear community,
I use risk data on different levels (i.e., 'risk category' splits into 'level 1 risk'). In a Power BI scatter chart, I have visualised the data based on the highest level (i.e., 'risk category') and when I hover on the dots, a description of the risk category shows. I would like to create the option to click on the 'risk category' data point to split the data point into the lower level data point ('level 1 risk'), but I am not successful in creating this. Does anyone has ideas/recommendations on how to achieve this?
More in general: how do I create the option to click through on data points in a scatter plot?
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards,

Hello @RD2024,
You can set up a drillthrough option where clicking on a data point in the scatter chart will navigate to another report page. Can you please try these steps:
Hope this helps!

Dear Sahir_Maharaj,
Many thanks for your reply, this is a wonderful solution. I created the drill-through page for the scatterplot. However, the data points do not filter (all "level 1 risk" datapoints are visible when I click 'drill through' on the higher level data point ('risk category'). Please refer to screenshots below. Do you have any idea how to solve this? I suspect it is the way my dataset is set up as I created two different tabs in Excel: one to show the risk category, one with the details. I hoped I could avoid this but I do not know how to show only the datapoint with the highest value for 'risk category').
| Risk category | Level 1 risk | Probability | Impact |
| Risk category 1 | Level 1 risk 1a | 1,75 | 2,25 |
| Risk category 1 | Level 1 risk 1b | 3 | 3,25 |
| Risk category 2 | Level 1 risk 2a | 4 | 3,25 |
| Risk category 2 | Level 1 risk 2b | 2,75 | 2 |
I only want to show the bold risk categories in the initial scatterplot and then, when I click 'drill through', I would like to show level 1 risk 1a/1b or level 1 risk 2a/2b (depending on which risk category is clicked on).
Kind regards,
