Community ChampionAnonymous You should be able to change Data Type to Binary, see below image.
The top half of the screen shot shows the column in the query editor and it is already binary. the image column is not appearing in the data set.

Currently, Power BI Desktop doesn't support rendering either Binary Images or Images from URLs. But they can be displayed on Power BI Service. Please refer to threads below:

Sounds like it is not supported in the current version and you can only use images from URL or static images. Which unfortunaely is no help.
