I have two slicers.
One is simple slicert that display available dates for user to filter by :
Second I want to make some sort of shortcut for user to select some presets dates :
Current report is calculating a lot of stuff ( mulitple cards and tables on report ) base on dates. What I need to do is when user click YTD button, current year will be selected on slicer and if user click LTM then only last 12 month will be selected. I know how to calculate that, but I didn't find any way of selecting value in one slicer based on action on second one.
I tried to make it way as was presended in this yt video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nocsNBF_NkE
But since I have a lot of small cards and tables, I'm not allowed to set global filter base on mesure it would require me to set it per componen wich can be tricky.
Using bookmarks will also not work for me since I need to always calculate Last 12 month so selected period will change each month and I don't want to update bookmrks.
Is there any way to select value in period slicer based on action from LTM button ?
What I need to do is when user click YTD button, current year will be selected on slicer
That is not something you can do in regular Power BI. You might be able to inject these actions in Power BI Embedded.
