Does anyone know how to format Charticulator values in the millions of dollars? I've gone to this page (https://github.com/d3/d3-format) and tried to understand how, but I'm not really seeing a solution.
What I see on other forums involves using Java formulas (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19907206/format-y-axis-values-original-figures-in-millions-only-...), which I am not able to do in the Charticulator Power BI app.
For example, my Y-Axis goes from 1,000,000,000 to 3,000,000,000 with ticks every 200,000,000. Instead of a tickmark saying 1,800,000,000, I would like it to say $1,800M. Is this possible?
Thank you!
In the Attributes you can divide the 'Data' by 1 million. Example: sum('user')/1000000. Then in the tick format box you add the d3 code. Example: ${.1f}M --for 30,500,000 that would give you $30.5M
If you want more spaces after the zero you can change the .1f to .3f (would give you 3 spaces after the decimal). As far the comma vs period decimal I think it's localized but not 100% sure
