Changing tooltip messages for data descriptors?

Is there any way of changing the text that appears when you hover over the text in rows/columns?

 

It currently just says 'Signups' when I hover over Signups. But would like to change that to something like 'Successful Signups in the period'

    Some visuals (like the table visual) do not support custom tooltips. If this is important to you please consider voting for an existing idea or raising a new one at https://ideas.powerbi.com

    You can add additional columns to the tooltip, if that option is available in visual or you can try a tooltip page Create report tooltip pages in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

     

    You can create visually rich report tooltips that appear when you hover over visuals, based on report pages you create in Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service. 

     

    Or you can create the idea and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.
