Changing the internal border within a slicer

Hi experts,   Does anyone know if it's possible, through a theme setting, to change the internal border color within a slicer? I'd like to make the one below darker than the default setting.   ...

Short, clear answer: NO - Power BI currently does not allow changing the internal border (inner outline) of a slicer through theme JSON or formatting settings.

But let me explain what IS possible, and give you the only working workaround Power BI designers use today.

    What you cannot change:

The “internal border” of the dropdown, which is the thin grey line around the dropdown box (inside the slicer card)
is hard-coded by the Power BI visual engine.

✓ You can change the outer border of the slicer card
✓ You can change background, font, shadow, transparency
✗ You cannot theme the internal border color
✗ No JSON theme property exists for it
✗ No visual formatting setting exists for it

Microsoft has not yet exposed this parameter to themes.

What you can do - Practical workarounds:
If you switch the slicer to Dropdown mode and

    • Turn Background = On
    • Set Background color darker
    • Turn Outline = Top/Bottom/Left/Right and increase weight
    • Add Border radius for a modern look

While you cannot darken the inner border, darkening the background makes the inner line appear more blended or visually minimized.

Jaywant-Thorat Thanks for your input. That works great for the borders when the drop-down is selected, but as you and others in this thread have concluded, we cannot change the one I'm looking to! I'll accept yours as the solution though, given you did confirm it can't be done at this point, and because of the detail you shared. Thanks!
