Changing from old card viz to new card causing errors

Do you have any conditional formatting on the original visual?
I tried recreating the error but it worked fine:
I'm assuming the random ' in the example is just a typo:
SUM(table1'[Total Matters completed])If the visaul treated the measure as wrapped in " or ' that could explain it 🤔
I could absolutely kick myself. It's a template and whoever set it up, the old card had black text, the new card has been setup with values coloured white which is why they didn't show up!

Templates have caught me out a few times.
Have you tried the incremental refresh feature in templates? Tells Power BI not to refresh data past a cetrain age which is handy.
