Changing To A New SharePoint List
Hi, I've uploaded a table from Excel to a SharePoint List (name List1), then I've imported the data into PowerMI , made some visualisations, and Published the report to the Web.
I was feeling pretty smug with myself until I tried to update the data. When I update the data I need to Export the data from Excel as a new List (List2) into my SharePoint Site. List1 and List2 both have the same columns. I can't update List1 with the new data as the Copy and Paste in the SharePoint quick edit doesn't work, plus there are too many rows.
What I'd like to do is point my Report to this List2 rather than List 1, and keep all my exisiting visualisations.
Can you help, please?
When I got to Edit Queries > Data Source Settings it allows me to change the root SharePioint site but not the list.

Hi Ian,
Its seems like you will have to adjust some steps in the Power Query editor.Try to see if you can simply switch List1 to List2.
Feel free to share your Advanced Editor code here, and I'll have a look.
FYI, you can also save your excel on onedrive/sharepoint and connect to it:

Thanks, Robbe. I've gone in to Query Editor. Then in the APPLIED STEPS section on the right I've clicked on the small cog next Navigation and changed the 'Specify a resource to navigate to' and clicked on List2. After applying and refreshing the report looks to have update correctly. Magic!
