Change value of a column based on the role applied via RLS

Hi,

I am using power bi embedded and using RLS to restrict the users viewing some rows once they are logged in.

There are some columns in my dataset which i would like to hide for some of the users who are not logged in.

I am passing a role for that case too using RLS but cannot use the measure/column to use the username and create a DAX column to show the dynamic data as it is not allowed to use customdata or username in a column. Is there any other way to achieve this? maybe change a value of the column if a certain role is selected using RLS.

Thanks

You could put the columns in a separate table.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Putting them in a separate column is not the solution to this because i want to put in a condition for calculated column or change the value of that column if the user has got access to it or not.

Like showing ****** for users who dont have access and showing the value for the logged in users who have access.

the calculated column is not letting my apply the username condition neither directly nor via a measure.

hope I have explained it better now.

Thanks
