Change the data source of the Power BI data models

Hi,

I am new to the Power BI reports creation. I already have multiple data models on the Power BI service.

is there any easy way to change the data source of the model?

Hi @AkkiDev ,

Where do you want to change the data source? Power BI Desktop? Or Power BI Service?

Power BI Desktop:

 Change data source from Settings Menu

  1. Click File.
  2. Click Options and settings.
  3. Right-click Data sources settings and change source.

Change data source from Advanced Editor

  1. Click Edit Queries and add the new source table.
  2. Click on the new source table and select Advanced Editor.
  3. Copy the commands with CTRL-C and click Done.
  4. Click on the old table and click on Advanced Editor.
  5. Select all the commands here, and paste the new source information using CTRL-V.
  6. Apply the changes.

Hi @AkkiDev ,

Where do you want to change the data source? Power BI Desktop? Or Power BI Service?

Power BI Desktop:

 Change data source from Settings Menu

  1. Click File.
