Change the Data Type in a Visual
Hi Seweb,
Please see the date of the video, it is about 3 years old.
The ribbon has changed since then. Microsoft comes up with an update nearly every single month.
The screenshot that I have shared is from the Aug 2022 version, so you should be good to go.
Hope my response helped you out.
Thank you,

Hi Seweb,
First of all welcome to the community and Power BI!
Now for your problem, I do not think that you can change the data type of a 'visual'.
You can change the data type of a measure or a column.
In order to do that click on the measure or column and this should appear on the ribbon.
When it comes to columns you can change the data type from the power query in the back end as well.
Hoping you won't lose sleep over it and that it solves your issue. If it did then please do mark it as the best answer, so that others can reach the solution faster.
Thank you,
Vishesh Jain
Hello visheshjain ,
thank you so much for your reply! ok thats weird, because i watched a beginner tutorial and in that video the person was somehow able to change the data type of a visual.
This was how his Modeling tab was structered after he clicked on the visual:
Just for reference: This is the video with timestamp :
