Change input file, keep visualisations
I've been using PowerBi now for a month and increasing my skills rapidly.
We have large excel models and I am making one sheet in these a "datasheet to PowerBI" output page.
The data model is accepted by PowerBU and I have made nice dashboards and visualisations.
BUT, when I update from a new version of the excel file (all columns are identical , no change to structure)
- the visualisations all crash and I have to drag and drop and format again.
Is it supposed to be like this, should I do it another way?
PowerBi accepts the new data sheet, I have access to all the data, but the visualisations just crash
My question is essentially : if all columns are identical, and I am careful -
will I be able to update data from another file and keep the existing visualisations / diagrams?
I have tried to google and not managed to get help on this.

And you can also refer to this document: Using templates in Power BI Desktop.
