    Hi Anonymous ,

    My question is essentially : if all columns are identical, and I am careful -
    will I be able to update data from another file and keep the existing visualisations / diagrams? 

     

    For your question, the answer is "Yes". You can change your data source like so:

    And you can also refer to this document: Using templates in Power BI Desktop.
