Hi,
Have a dataflow where a date shows correctly as DD/MM/YYYY
When I import the dataflow into desktop I can see the default format as per screenshot below is DD Month YYYY
What is the best way to ensure that all dates by default have the format DD/MM/YYYY without having to do this manuallyevery time import a table with date datatypes?
i.e. it should default to the short date rather than the long date
Have Regional Settings/United Kingdom
Thanks
Thanks for posting this; I too am suffering from this lack of configurability.

Hi @po ,
Based on my test, it do will convert to text format with "dd/mmm/yy", it may due to your location, you could refer to below blog that may help you:

Hi @po,
In Power BI Desktop, there is no option to set the default format for each data type, an idea about this issue has been submitted in the following link, please vote it up.
