Change date format

Hi Experts, this might be a basic question.

I have Date in heirarchy format in PowerBI desktop.

I want to convert that to below format.

Hi Cho,

The hierarchy is not a format, but rather something PowerBi automatically builds for you when you have a value in a Date or Date/time format.

To see which one, or change from one to another, just select the field in the 'Data' panel on the right, then, in the top horizontal menu, the 'Column tools' tab, check out the 'Data type' field.

HI @Anonymous ,

I think you need to turn off Auto-datetime in Power BI settings at 2 places.

Naviagte to File --> Options & Settings --> Options

In my data in Power BI Desktop, I don't see any hierarchy against the DATE column:

Hi @Anonymous ,

You need to create a date table in your data model and declare it as a date table. Lots of documentation available on google.
