Change data source from ODBC to MySQL

Question

None of the Microsoft documentation matches my desktop. everything says use Edit Query. This does not exist. all the documents I find say it's easy' to switch sources... it is not.

in Transform data I found, data source setting. but it does not allow me to change.

PowerBI, another Microsoft frustration. Expensive, no documentation, no support.

the second image is the new version of Power BI desktop. if you want to go back to the old version then you need to Uncheck the use of ribbon. here is how

But if you want to keep the new Version of the desktop then use the Button

rogervsclimbing&nbsp;Edit Query is changed to Transform Data in the new version. You can only change the credentials in the datasource setting. Is there any thing that restricts you? If not you could just get data from MySQL straightway, there is a My SQL connector in deskop.&nbsp;Paul Zheng _ Community Support TeamIf this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

Thank you for the explanation to put (or return) Edit Queries to the menu bar.&nbsp; but, as I now see, it just leads to the same Edit Data Sources... in which there are no additional choices, just the existing ODBC connector.&nbsp; if i click on Global permissions, i can see what i think is the MySQL connector, but there is nothing here that allows me to select that as the data source.... just edit its permission.&nbsp;yes, I have the latest MySQL/.net connector installed.&nbsp;the root issue is the gateway.&nbsp; we are new to PowerBI.&nbsp; the gateway is full of different connections to the same data, plus, we cannot get the ODBC connections to work on the gateway - well, some work, but because we cannot see the details of the connection, we cannot use elsewhere, but we can get the MySQL connector to work.&nbsp; whereas on the development workstations, we can get both to work (assuming we use an older version of the .net and ODBC connectors).&nbsp;the gateway is just a giant support nightmare.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;so, my goal was to edit the reports to all use the same credentials/connectors that are to the same data source.&nbsp;&nbsp;
