Change Date when source date is 'Text' and Euro Format
Hello all,
I have an issue where I am trying to, within Power BI, adjust the Date column from my source data to be an actual date in MM/DD/YYYY format.
The way it comes in from my source data (.csv) is in Text format, formatted like DD.MM.YYYY 00:00:00 (screenshot below from the Excel File). I cannot alter the source data, any adjustments must be made in Power BI.
I have tried changing locale, making from text->date, ect. It never recognizes it. What's my best course of action here?

Looks at the screenshots.
In Query Editor,Right Click in the column - Change Type-Using Locale - Select the Type (Date Time) and Select the Locale.In the pop up window, choose date datatype and English(United Kingdom) as Locale.

Check if it can be detected as the British date format. else the way out have a new column
New date = mid(DD__MM__YY[Date],4,2) &"/"& left(DD__MM__YY[Date],2) & "/" & right(DD__MM__YY[Date],4)
