Certain column data is appearing in brackets
can you share a sample of your source data?
Community Championwhen you say related, where are you doing this power query or in the relationship view?
i am not sure about the brackets but another issue could be , the issue is one is upper case and the other is lower case, power query is case sensitve, change both sides to upper and the try to relate again if its in power query.
also trim and clean both sides there might be whitespaces
I meant I was trying to relate them in the relationship view.
Uppercase/Lowercase might me also be de issue. But why is it transforming, the same way it transforms from no-bracket text to text between brackets?

it is weird are you able to share some sample source data?
did you try cleaning both sides first, i always find cleaning and doing a bit of transforming does help sometimes, ie format clean and trim and then change all to upper case.
There is nothing to clean in Power Query (left screenshot). Data is ok there. It's just when I Apply changes that the brackets and upper-case appear.
