Hi, When viewing the world map it is hiding Austrailia's data and showing the 'repeat' austraila.. the first one that gets the data is off on the right. Hard to explain but here is how the map loads:
but if you scroll the map to the right, so the center is about 0,0 lat/lng you get this with austrailia showing data:
Is there any way to set the center of this map control when the page loads?
I'll attach an exmaple file too.
Thanks.
Which map visual are you using here? They all have different options.
Filled Map.
I don't see any visual called "Filled Map" in the marketplace.
I did just notice that the bottom left has Bing watermark. I assume you're using the default "Map" visual then.
As far as I know, there's no way to set a default center of the map. Possibly by turning off Auto-zoom in the map controls?
I'm actually curious, if you scroll to the left, far enough to see California again, does it show up as marked or not? This is likely a bug you should report to the visual creators.
Yes its a default, not from the marketplace. Turning off the autozoom does allow it work initally and show the austrailia data. (I can set the view and save it and it persists)!
Its a tradeoff though because clicking on a data point no longer zooms the map in, which is really useful.
Also california will show data if I scroll it to be over half way. So will the empty austrailia though if I scroll it left more so its in the middle of the map.
