s there a way to center data in a column? Or wrap text for column headers?

Currently, numeric data is set right alignment, and string data is set left alignment by default in Power BI desktop. You can decrease your column with to make it look more aesthetically pleasing.
Auto-size column width is turn on by default, you need to turn it off so that you can change the column width.

Firstly, in formatting of visual element you need to choose a column that you want to be centered.
Secondly, you center it.
I know this is old but I wanted to update this question. This is currently possible in Power BI:

In the table visual, go to Field formatting --> Alignment to choose how you want the data alligned.
