Census Tract Shapes

Question

Hi All,&nbsp;I am trying to figure out the best way to&nbsp;display shape files automatically based on census tracts in Power BI embedded. ARCGIS is not supported for embedded - Mapbox does not support it out of the box (you have to custom upload shapes through their API).&nbsp; Not to compare Power BI to Tableau, but all of this stuff is standard in Tableau for standard U.S. based geographies. What is the best solution to just have shape files for U.S. census boundaries out of the box? Keep in mind we are using the API.&nbsp;Dan

Greg,&nbsp;I was able to import shapes into the shape map visual (picked counties), but it is horribly slow (basically unusable).&nbsp; I will keep trying to see how far I can take it or maybe if there is some optimization. Not sure why can't we have something that is preloaded for US geographies?&nbsp; Again something in Tableau out of the box.&nbsp;

Greg,&nbsp;I looked briefly at that, but I don't see how it supports all geographies. Looks like it stops at states.

You can specify your own TopoJSON file.

Thanks - This looks more promising now that I understand it better.&nbsp; However, limiting it to 1,000 points is pretty restrictive.&nbsp;
