Category Hierarchy

Does anyone have ideas for how to build a hierarchy based on category. I have about 30 categories of which 10 are main categories and the others are sub categories and to show all the main categories and the respective details and then I want to drill down into the sub categories and view their respective details. Any thoughts?

Are these in two different columns? Can you provide example/sample data?

sure... a photo is below. The 2 columns in bold are the main categories.. and I want a hiearchy so that if I look at that category I can then drill down into the subcategories... unfortunately there is nothing that ties the data together... it is just columns with categorie and then rankings.
