Cases closed/opened graph

I am trying to create a line graph that shows  occurrences of opened date, and closed date in power BI Desktop, using salesforce case data.

This would hopefully show cases opened, and closed over time.

however I am having issues representing this properly and I am unsure whether it is to do with the date data types, sorting or what I am choosing as the axis.

the logic I am using is count open date and count close date. But the numbers i get are different when I put opened/closed date as the axis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Happy to provide more info.

Hi Amit, I have tried to follow the sample file you linked but for some reason I can only get closed cases to link to the timeline.

I have checked data types, and tried having both 1 active and 2 inactive relationships.

Do you have any Ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks.

@Anonymous , First of you need to have an open and close date without time and join them with same date table with one inactive join, which you can activate in a measure using userelationship

same approach as this blog
