Hi
I have two datasets. One has Excel as data source , the other one a shared dataset (live connection) based on the Excel data.
When I create a report based on the Excel data and drag "Product name" to card visual , I get the First productname. Which is OK.
When I try to do the same in a report based on the shared dataset I can't drop 'Product name" or any other field in the Card visual.
What is happening ?????
Closing and re-opening the report with live connection doens't make any difference.
regards
Ron

Hi @v-jingzhang
I mean I cannot put any field into the card.
I solved it by first dragging a table visual on the report, put the necessary field in there and then change the table visual to a card visual. That was for now the only solution.
Thnx for your reaction

Its possible that your data model is using Calculation Groups.
Calculation groups are not compatible with implicit measures. Take a look in the below discussion.

Hi @PowerRon
I cannot reproduce this at my side. Can you test if you create a new pbix file with Power BI Desktop and connect to the same shared dataset, whether the same issue happen?
When you said you can't drop 'Product name" or any other field in the Card visual, do you mean you cannot put any field into a card visual or you can but nothing displays in the card visual?
Can you test whether the same issue happen in Power BI Service? You can try to create a report with the same shared dataset in Power BI Service.
