Cannot sign into Power BI Desktop Properly

Upon clicking "Sign in" and entering my sign in credentials, my name appears in the top-right corner as expected, but in less than one second it is again replaced by "Sign in".   Does anyone know w...

    Can you connect Power BI service via browser? It looks like the credential is expired. Please go to "File->Sign In" to see if you can enter the credential again.

We have tried this solution but the same thing is still happening.
