Cannot open pbix on new computer

If I understand correctly, your issue is that you can’t access the dataset and can’t open the file on new computer. A number of reasons may cause this issue to occur, you can follow these steps:

1.Ensure that you have the latest version of Power BI Desktop installed on the new computer.

2.which data source be connected to in the report? File, database , dataset or other connector? If the data source is file or database, please update Date Source Settings. Go to File > Options and settings > Data source settings. Select Data source settings and click on Change Source. And make sure you have the permission to access it.If the data source is dataset, please verify Dataset Location. Confirm with your colleagues that the dataset has not been moved or renamed since you received the pbix file. If the dataset location has changed, you will need to update the connection details in Power BI.

3.Check Network Permissions. Ensure that your new computer has the necessary permissions to access the location where the dataset is stored.
