I have a .pbix file that will not open. I was editing this file 2 days ago and am able to edit all of my other .pbix files, so the issue is not PowerBI Desktop itself. The data sources in this file are excel files and sql queries. I am able to successfully update my other .pbix files from the same data connection/sql credentials, so the data sources should not be the issue. Can anyone help me?
I have tried to post the error details but it keeps flagging my posts as spam when I do, so I am trying to post without. The main issues says "DecoderCorruptedData"
Hi, @JessicaRohrer ;
The recommended resolution is to update it to a version that supports information protection. You can download the latest version of Power BI Desktop (this link is a direct download link to the installation executable).
Consider removing the protection from the .pbix file and re-applying it after the file has been published to the Power BI service.

Since I cannot paste the error details, hopefully this screenshot helps.
