Cannot load model in power bi desktop

Hi All,

 

I want to upload data(csv file) in the power desktop application but getting the below error.

Error Message:
We couldn't connect to your DirectQuery data source or internal model. Double-check that your server and database names are correct, and that you have permission to access them.

Error Message Detail:
No OLE DB Error Information found."

Please suggest a solution to this issue.

Hi @MAmol,

 

 

1. Try to connect the csv file with another version, for example, if you are using the 64-bit version, try to install and use the 32-bit version.

Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

 

2. Command Prompt -> Run as administrator -> sfc /scannow -> Enter and wait for completion

@MAmol , Make sure the latest windows patch is applied. You are on the latest version of power bi
