Cannot install "cannot write PBIDesktop.exe to key ... \FeatureControl"
During clean install I get the message Could not write value PBIDesktop.exe to key \Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_GPU_RENDERING, ... I have IE 11 installed ...
OK, solution was to rename the FeatureControl key, then create another one, then recreate the keys that were in the original in the new. The old one is corrupted somehow in that magical structure known as the registry. (No, not a simple permissions problem.)

I had this issue but the issue was with activating bitlocker. Once activated it installed without this error.
