I keep getting denied when trying to connect to an excel file on my onedrive. I feel like I've tried everything already and still cannot figure it out. The file is stored on my onedrive so when I try to connect PBI desktop to it, I go to New Data Source -> Web. I insert the link but it doesn't recognize my credentials. It clearly states "you are already signed in" but right above it it says the current user isn't signed in? I don't understand why.
I've tried applying the settings to the folder and the file and still nothing.
What is the problem?

Try using the clean sharepoint site URL without all the /:x:/p/ stuff. Clear out all permissions from the connection in Powr BI Desktop.
Hi @Anonymous
It seems you are not using the correct link for the Excel file. Please open the Excel file in Excel app and go to Info to get the link. And remove the ?web=1 string at the end of the link.

thank you, clearing out permissions as per the the other comment resolved the issue. Any idea why that could have been the problem?

Thanks!I've tried using that format links before and I didn't work. However, clearing out permissions helped. Why is that?
