Cannot format any columns

I have setup an Excel file from Microsoft Teams as the source for my report but I cannot change the format of any of the columns.  Is that normal?

I believe the problem was on the Import of data.  I think initially I used the Upload feature but since I have switched to the Import method it seems to work great.

Hi @jeffprandall ,

I don't think it is normal. When you connect to the data source by Web url, if you connect and load data successfully, it means the data source use import mode. Under this connection mode, we can change the format of the column as we need.

What is your data type of your column? If the data type is true/false or text, you cannot change the format of them.

If your data type is others and you cannot change it, could you please share some screenshots in power bi desktop so that I can reproduce it to comfirm whether it is a bug or not and sumbit it to internal teams.

Best Regards,
