I need to add an excel file stored on my business onedrive to my existing data in PBI Desktop. I've followed the instructions online (opening the file in excel on my local machine, copying the link, adding web data source, and using organizational credentials) but I always get an error indicating my credentials are invalid. Part of the problem is that the link I get in Excel for OSX (using either the "share" button and copy link or going to "share">"Copy Link" does not look like everyone elses I've seen on line. Mine looks like this:
https://FalseURL***************-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal/patrick_cuezze_FalseURL_com/EWh1rO-izjNCnTnISI6uLLABlDdNb-WQKlgMQGVCAo9W0w?e=Cl1SuR
(FalseURL inserted intentionally for privacy)
The filename looks like hexcode and the url ends in e=Cl1SuR instead of web1. I've tried deleting everything after the "?" and not. I delete the global permission created each time and still get the problem. When I "sign in" in the organizational access screen it says I'm signed in but when I connect it says I don't have permission. I can use this URL to access the file from the web without any problem. Should I be getting the URL from some other place in excel? There is no "Info" screen like in the Windows version. Or is there some other reason this isn't working? Thanks so much in advance as this is very frustrating to use all MS products and not be able to make them work together easily....
