Cannot authenticate with the credentials provided when connecting to azure devops OData-feed
While following the documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/report/powerbi/client-authentication-options?view=azure-devops .
My personal acces token from azure devops doesn't let me login into the OData feed in power bi. I did it exactly like in the link I send.
-I reset the login data cache.
-I gave the PAT acces to everything needed.
-I refreshed the PAT.
-I typed my organisation right in the link.
-Adding the specified project in the link also doesn't work.
-Login into a organisation account also doesn't work.
How do I fix this? Do I have to be owner of the organisation?
Hi Anonymous ,
1. If you're using a PAT, the Basic authentication requires a username, which can be anything except the empty string. So please enter a text string, such as "test" or "user" for the username and enter the token in the password field.
2. Also, please check if you meet the following prerequisites and permission issues.
- You must be a member of a project with Basic access or higher.
- Also, you must have your *View Analytics permission set to Allow.
- To use Power BI for Azure DevOps or to exercise an OData query for Analytics, you must must have your View Analytics permission set to Allow. By default, all Contributors with Basic access are granted access.
Permission: How do I resolve the The user wasn't authorized error?
3. Enabling IIS Basic Authentication invalidates using Personal Access Tokens.
For more information, please refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/devops/integrate/get-started/authentication/iis-basic-auth?view=azure-devops
