Hello,
I just started trying to learn PowerBI for a work project. Every time I load data into PowerBI, regardless of the data source, after clicking Load OR Transform Data and applying my desired updates, I get an error that says: There are pending changes in your queries that haven't been applied.
I have been using Alt+F4 to make an invisible pop-up that keeps appearing go away so that I can click Apply Changes or Discard Changes. Neither of those options work. I have deleted and reinstalled the application, restarted the application, cleared my cache, etc. When I dismiss the error, and go into the Power Query Editor to see if I can fix any queries, my queries do not even have the caution sign that signals they are pending changes.
PLEASE HELP. I can't even start to play around with the app because I can't actually load any functional data into it! Thanks.
Hi @twilson
You can try the following actions:
Make sure you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop. If the problem started after the update, consider reverting to a previous version of Power BI Desktop.
Try clicking “Discard changes” on the yellow warning bar in Power BI, and then apply changes again. This might refresh the state of your queries.

In the Power Query editor, use the Refresh Preview option and select Refresh All.
