Can you override a drill through with a slicer?

Right, I hope this makes sense. 

I have a page which contains subjects data for GCSE exams - so you can see a list of all the subjects and their average GCSE grade, and (when you choose a subject on the column chart) a list of students who took that subject. 

I have a second page which contains student data, so their result in each of the exams they took, their average grade, etc etc. 

By right clicking on a name of a student in the first page, I can drill through to the second page and see the student data for the selected student on the first page. So far so good. However, what I would like to be able to do is to have a slicer on the student page which shows the list of all students all the time. The reason I want this is so I can either drill through to the student details page or simply go to the student details page and choose a student by using a slicer. 

How can I do this?

once drill trough You can remove drillthrough filter first,after that you can filter as u like from slicer.

But that means the user who is viewing the report needs to do that, and as this will be published, they won't have the ability to do this.

What I need is almost an IF statement for the page.

IF drilled through then use the student name from the previous page
ELSE allow the user to choose the student name from a slicer

Hai.,

Make a Dublicate for All Student Mark sheet, and hide it. then remove the drill thrugh the in dublicate sheet. and create a book mark for that dublicate sheet. then place a buttom in drill thruough enable sheet to clear the filter as shown in image.set the dublicate page bookmark in action properties. then filter will clear. user also cant feel the two difference pages.
